Kawamwaki Farm House was the family home to the Vaulkhard Family for the past 40 years. Built in 1920, it retains the charm of a 1920s bungalow, but over the years has been expanded to be a large comfortable family home. The house overlooks acres of private land, complete with lake and waterfall, where an indigenous forest has been planted - guests have the freedom to roam that land on foot (or horseback). There is a stable yard adjacent to the house where you can hire horses for local riding - on the private land or across into neighbouring tea estates. This is not a party house and we will not accept music or loud parties. The house comes fully staffed and guests have access to the 4 bedrooms as well as the core of the house - living room, with roaring fireplace, TV room, large dining room and verandha. The staff will cook all meals for you, but you will need to bring your own groceries. We do grow fresh vegetables on the farm and have hens for fresh eggs. The house is only 10 minutes drive from Tigoni’s popular activities - Brown’s Cheese, the Kiambethu Tea Farm and Limuru Golf Club.
